Commercial pressure washing uses high-pressure water to clean hard external surfaces such as car parks, yards, forecourts and facades. Optus Glean UK delivers it nationwide as a scheduled or one-off service, controlling run-off and chemicals under COSHH, using DBS-checked (Disclosure Scotland / AccessNI in Scotland and Northern Ireland), PAYE-employed operatives.
What we pressure wash
Pressure washing suits hard external surfaces: staff and customer car parks, service yards and loading bays, delivery forecourts, walkways and steps, bin and waste stores, and lower building elevations. It pairs naturally with window cleaning and facade cleaning for a full exterior programme, and with gutter and solar panel cleaning where rainwater goods and roof-level fittings also need attention.
How much does commercial pressure washing cost?
Pressure washing is usually priced by the area cleaned and the level of soiling, either as a one-off or on a periodic schedule folded into your commercial cleaning contract. As a market guide, driveway-and-yard benchmarks illustrate the bands (all commercial cleaning is standard-rated for VAT at 20%, as set out in our commercial cleaning prices guide):
COSHH, run-off and environmental control
Detergents, degreasers and the run-off they create are covered by the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002, which require the hazards of every product to be assessed and controlled. A product safety data sheet is not itself a risk assessment; we use it to build one. We work to our COSHH procedures for cleaning and manage run-off responsibly, and where any work rises above ground level we plan it under the Work at Height Regulations 2005.
Directly-employed, vetted operatives
Pressure washing is often out-of-hours and on client sites, so vetting and lone-working discipline apply. Every operative is PAYE-employed and background-checked (DBS, or Disclosure Scotland / AccessNI) before assignment, with wet-surface slip risks and lone-working controlled through our documented method statements.
Scheduled or one-off, on one national contract
Whether you need a quarterly car-park refresh or a one-off deep clean before an event, pressure washing sits inside a single commercial cleaning agreement, alongside window cleaning and facade cleaning, delivered to the same documented standard across every site in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
