OptusGlean UK cleans transport and infrastructure sites across the UK — airports, rail and bus stations, depots, ports and transport hubs. We manage high footfall around the clock, cover terminals, platforms, washrooms and back-of-house, and deliver it with vetted, directly employed staff on fixed monthly pricing under one national contract.
What transport assets do you clean?
Transport estates are varied and public-facing, so the specification spans several asset types:
| Asset | Typical scope |
|---|---|
| Terminals & concourses | Floors, glazing, seating, escalators and travelators, high-footfall touch points |
| Washrooms | High-frequency scheduled cleans plus reactive checks and consumables |
| Platforms & waiting areas | Litter, hard-floor and shelter cleaning, external and entrance areas |
| Depots & back-of-house | Offices, welfare, staff areas and operational spaces |
We coordinate with operational and security teams so cleaning fits around passenger flow and restricted zones.
How do you manage high footfall and 24/7 operation?
Transport hubs never really close, so we resource for continuous presence: night deep-clean teams for the heaviest work, plus daytime porterage that scales with passenger surges — washrooms, concourses and touch points get more frequent attention at peaks. Because our operatives are directly employed rather than a churn of sub-contractors, we can hold reliable cover on unsociable and security-sensitive shifts.
Can one contractor cover a whole transport network?
Yes. OptusGlean UK is the national alternative to small city-based cleaning firms: one national contract cleaning agreement, one cleanliness standard and one account manager across every site you run — instead of juggling a different local cleaner in every town. See our approach to multi-site cleaning and why buyers choose OptusGlean. A transport operator running stations, depots and hubs across regions cannot deliver a consistent passenger-facing standard through a patchwork of local cleaners. We standardise the specification, presentation standard and reporting across every site, with one account manager and consolidated reporting for your estates and operations teams.
Who does the work, and are they vetted for secure sites?
Every operative is directly employed by us on PAYE — never a self-employed sub-contractor — and vetted before their first shift: DBS-checked in England and Wales, Disclosure Scotland (PVG where the role requires it) in Scotland, and AccessNI in Northern Ireland. For airside, rail and other secure or restricted environments we support the additional background checks and passes those settings require, and brief operatives on the site's security regime. We are fully insured — employers' liability and public liability — and price a fixed monthly fee by Direct Debit after a free site survey. Call 0330 027 2159 to discuss your estate.
