OptusGlean UK cleans hospitality and leisure venues across the UK — hotels, restaurants, pubs, gyms, leisure centres and events venues. We deliver guest-ready presentation, TR19-compliant kitchen-extract cleaning and vetted, directly employed staff on fixed monthly pricing, with one national contract covering every venue in your group.
What areas of a hospitality venue do you clean?
We cover the full guest journey and back-of-house: bedrooms and housekeeping, restaurants, bars and function rooms, commercial kitchens, washrooms and spa/pool areas, gyms and changing rooms, lobbies and hard floors, and periodic deep cleans. Presentation standards in hospitality are unforgiving — a review can turn on one dirty washroom — so we clean to a documented standard and audit it.
Do you handle TR19 kitchen-extract (grease) cleaning?
Yes, and for hospitality it is a fire-safety and insurance issue, not just hygiene. We clean commercial kitchen extract to the BESA TR19 Grease standard:
- Grease deposits kept below a mean average of 200 microns between cleans; areas at 500 microns or more get immediate spot cleaning (BESA).
- Verification by Deposit Thickness Tests (DTT) or Wet Film Thickness Tests (WFTT), with access panels and before/after photos.
- A post-clean hygiene certificate for your insurer — insurers increasingly require TR19 Grease adherence, and non-compliance can see a fire claim denied (BESA).
See our TR19 kitchen-extract cleaning service for the full method.
Can you clean every hotel or venue in our group?
Yes. OptusGlean UK is the national alternative to small city-based cleaning firms: one national contract cleaning agreement, one cleanliness standard and one account manager across every site you run — instead of juggling a different local cleaner in every town. See our approach to multi-site cleaning and why buyers choose OptusGlean. A hotel or leisure group with venues around the country cannot hold a consistent brand standard through a patchwork of local cleaners. We standardise the specification, presentation standard and audit method across every property, so a guest gets the same clean-room standard in each location — on one national contract and one invoice.
Who cleans our venues and how is it priced?
Every operative is directly employed by us on PAYE — never a self-employed sub-contractor — and vetted before their first shift: DBS-checked in England and Wales, Disclosure Scotland (PVG where the role requires it) in Scotland, and AccessNI in Northern Ireland. We price a fixed monthly fee by Direct Debit per venue or across the group, set after a free site survey — not an hourly rate that tempts under-resourcing on a busy weekend. Operatives are paid at or above the National Living Wage of £12.71 (April 2026), with the real Living Wage available where required. Call 0330 027 2159 to arrange a survey.
